Opportunities
The property for this project sits on the quiet end of the North
Portland Penninsula in Portland Oregon on the Pacific Coast. If you are interested
in learning more or puting what you've learned into practice let us know what
you are considering, this list is only a small bit of what could be done. If
you are looking to bolster a CV or Portfolio just come and we will give you
the space and materials to work.

- Bioswales:
Two bioswale options can be realised; one is a greywater recycle possibility
the other is a street run-off.
- Greenhouse:
We are building a rather large greenhouse over an existing foundation using
reclaimed 2X6s and discarded windows. It will have a rain storage system and
earthen wall to absorb passive solar gain. Stay tuned to the blog
or email for a time to come and help out. We'll be able to share plenty of
food and growing space!
- Experimental
Building: Design and construct. Greenroofing, Powerplant, radiant
heating, greywater, etc. Two building plots available for experimentation;
cradle to cradle. One permanent structure (our home) might be considered.
- Outreach:
Web development, published materials, various public forms.
- Artwork:
Submit proposals anytime. Zero parameters.
- Permaculture:
Research, development, and maintenance.
- Permeable
Paving: Sidewalk and driveway, potential other walkways.
- Solar
Power: Photovoltaic and hydro solar management/ installation.
- Demolition:
Careful consideration of material handling and removal/ recycling.
- Support
Development: The possibilities of funding this project are great.
